I'm D. James Fusilier, an AI product leader, technology founder and oil-and-gas engineer based in Houston. My career began in 2001 at ABB Vetco Gray, and I spent nearly two decades in equipment design, including five years at TechnipFMC, where spec-driven, safety-critical engineering shaped the discipline I bring to everything I build. Today I run AlamoIQ, a holding company that licenses AI model architectures for energy-sector logistics and audit and incubates new AI ventures, and WeghachiAI in Nigeria, where I built a multi-agent reconciliation platform for oil-and-gas revenue assurance, aligned with NUPRC and NCDMB requirements. Its responsible-AI design (findings a human verifies, read-only access enforced by IAM, recall tests with synthetic canaries, and drift checks against a frozen baseline) reflects how I work: AI that regulated industries can trust. I also consult for indigenous oil companies in Nigeria as a subject matter expert in chemical remediation and production optimization, and in July and August 2026 I completed a remediation project in the Niger Delta. Along the way I've trained and evaluated large language models, through RLHF as a Handshake AI fellow and on enterprise model-training programs at Invisible Technologies and Outlier, and built machine learning into products at Fishbowl Software and Reserv.
